Megan asked us to design jewelry from her grandmother's wedding dress. It was a beautiful but frail wedding gown from 1945 - the year Megan's lovely grandmother got married. Her wedding took place on September 8th, just a few weeks after her fiancé came back from four years of deployment in Europe during WWII. The yoke of the dress was edged with handmade cotton bobbin lace, while at the back was a long row of covered buttons.
Flash forward to Megan's wedding. She wore a stunning silver cuff bracelet made from her grandmother's lace, while she commissioned for herself and her sister identical silver bracelets with the covered buttons and closures. Inscribed on the inside of the cuff bracelet are the wedding dates of both Megan and Ken and Megan's grandparents.
